Happy Birthday Ryan!

Ryan has been really wanting to go hiking at the Santa Rosa Plateau, so we went for his birthday. Lexi is finally big enough for the backpack and had a lot of fun looking at all the trees and grass.

and... lizard.

We finished up the weekend by heading up to Big Bear with Ryan's family. We had fun fishing and playing a mad game of Apples to Apples. :)

I love you so much Ryan! I am so grateful for all the hard work you do for our family so I can be home with Lexi. You and Lexi have such a special relationship and I love watching you two together.

5 months!

Weight: 15 lbs 4 oz

- Lexi is still having a little trouble rolling back to her back

- We will probably start baby food in the next 2 weeks.. cant wait! :)

- She sleeps from 830 - 7 but isn't a great napper

- We started doing sign language with her. She can't do any of it yet, but she likes watching!

- Shoes only stay on for about 5 minutes before they're kicked off

- I'm hoping she's done spitting up.. its been getting a lot better!

- She is getting better with strange people (mustaches, sunglasses, etc)

- I could sing itsy-bitsy spider a million times and she wouldn't be sick of it

I still think she will be getting a tooth soon... she slobbers everywhere and her hands are always in her mouth!! we'll see! ;)

4 months!

Weight: 14 lbs 7 oz

Length: 25 inches

- Her fingers are always in her mouth

- She can roll from back to tummy, but can't figure how how to roll back onto her back

- Baby Beethoven is the only show she will watch. haha

- She has found her voice and loves to shriek and talk all day

- She has a reverse mullet going on.. with a big bald spot in back.

- Still has her cute squishy cheeks

- Starting to chunk up a bit, yay!

I can't imagine my life without her!

Big Bear Weekend

April 16

My parents got a couple condos in Big Bear for the weekend and it was so much fun! We went swimming, hiking, and strolling downtown. I tried gelato for the first time and it was so yummy! Isn't that such a great view?? The weather was perfect!

Weight: 13 lbs

- She is getting more and more personality every day.. it so much fun!

- She loves kisses

- She STILL hates tummy time.. but we're working on it

- She rolled over!

-Still loves people.. but from a distance now. Getting a little bit of the stranger anxiety.

- She is SO happy when daddy comes home.. she kicks her legs and flings her arms :)

Carlsbad flower fields

April 1

We went to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad and it was so beautiful!.. and smelled good too! They "grew" an American flag on one of the fields. I want to have lots of flowers in my backyard someday.
